Karma isn’t punishment or reward. Think of it as feedback. Understand the 12 laws of karma through the Frequara model, which uses frequency as a way to picture cause and consequence.

The 12 laws of karma are spiritual principles that describe how cause and consequence play out in a life. Most people know karma as a simple “what goes around comes around,” but this misses the nuance. In the Frequara model, karma is easier to picture as resonance: an echo, where the energy you put out in your actions, words and attention tends to shape what comes back to you.

The laws of karma aren’t moral judgements. They aren’t laws of physics either; think of them as a neutral way of noticing cause and consequence. Understanding them transforms karma from something that happens to you into something you actively take part in creating. Here are the 12 laws and what they mean for your frequency, in the Frequara sense of the state you bring to life:

1. The Great Law

What you send out returns to you. The Frequara model describes this as resonance. Picture your state as a frequency you broadcast: a person who meets the world with anger tends to meet more conflict, while someone steady in love tends to draw warmer responses. Your tone, choices and body language are constantly signalling what you bring, and people and situations often respond in kind.

2. The Law of Creation

You are a co-creator of your life through the choices you make and the state you hold, which the Frequara model calls your frequency. Life is not only happening to you; you take part in it. You can’t control everything outside you, but your responses shape a great deal of what follows. This law asks you to step into an active role rather than passive reception.

3. The Law of Humility

Until you accept responsibility for your part, you cannot change it. Blame, in whatever form, keeps you stuck. Humility is recognising: I played a part in this, and I can choose something different from here. This is not about blaming yourself for what others did to you. It is meant to be empowering, not debilitating.

4. The Law of Growth

Growth happens from the inside out. Changing your external circumstances alone rarely creates growth; the Frequara model calls the inner shift raising your frequency. Your surroundings often reflect your habits and choices. As you shift internally, the way you act changes, and your circumstances can change with it over time. The work starts with inner steadiness.

5. The Law of Responsibility

You are responsible for the state you bring, what the Frequara model calls the frequency you radiate. Not guilty, responsible. In this model, guilt sits low on the scale as shame, and responsibility sits higher as ownership. When you recognise the state you bring into situations, you can respond differently and create different outcomes.

6. The Law of Connection

Everything is connected. Your state doesn’t affect only you; it ripples out through the people around you. Families pick up each other’s moods and habits. Communities tend to share attitudes and norms. Steadying yourself can make a difference to the people close to you. In the Frequara model, isolation is an illusion at the frequency level.

7. The Law of Focus

Energy flows where attention goes. What you focus on shapes what you notice, what you do and how you come across. A mind fixed on lack keeps finding lack; one focused on what is possible tends to spot more openings. In the Frequara model, your attention is your most powerful broadcasting tool.

8. The Law of Giving and Hospitality

Generosity is an expression of your state. When you give freely (not from obligation or expectation), you express what the Frequara model calls abundance frequency, and people often respond in kind. Stinginess expresses scarcity. The law frames this as resonance rather than morality: generosity tends to invite generosity back.

9. The Law of Here and Now

Your power exists only in the present moment. Past regret and future worry pull your attention in many directions. When you’re fully present, your attention is steadier and your choices are clearer. What you do now shapes what comes next. Presence is a form of power.

10. The Law of Change

Change is constant. Nothing in life stays static. You cannot prevent change; you can only take part in it consciously through the choices you make. Understanding that you’re always creating means you can create intentionally rather than by default.

11. The Law of Patience and Reward

Results take time to show up in your life, because new habits and choices take time to add up. Patience isn’t about waiting passively; it’s about staying consistent with your new direction while life catches up. Consistency compounds, just like compound interest compounds wealth.

12. The Law of Significance and Inspiration

Your highest value is lifting others, what the Frequara model calls raising their frequency. Significance comes from inspiring, supporting and uplifting others. A person who is steady in themselves often lifts those around them. This is how you create lasting impact: by example, not force.

Karma as Frequency Law, Not Moral Law

Concentric resonance rings echoing across deep space
Karma pictured as resonance: what you send out tends to echo back.

The crucial shift in understanding karma through the frequency model is this: karma isn’t punishment. It’s resonance. You don’t get punished for a “bad” thought. Rather, a heavy, low-frequency state tends to shape heavy choices, and those choices shape your circumstances. You don’t get rewarded for a “good” thought. Rather, a lighter state tends to lead to better choices and better outcomes over time.

The universe is not morally judging you. Think of karma as an echo, not a verdict.

This changes a lot. Instead of trying to be “good” to avoid karma, you focus on raising your frequency, in the Frequara sense of a steadier, more generous state. Instead of fearing consequences, you understand that different states lead to different choices and different outcomes. You have more say than you think, through the state you choose to practise.

Applying Karma Laws to Your Daily Life

Understanding these 12 laws means asking different questions:

What frequency am I currently broadcasting? Not what should I do, but what signal am I radiating? Check your emotional state, your thought patterns, your energy level. That’s what the Frequara model calls your broadcast.

Is this frequency creating what I want? If you want love but move through the world from fear, fear tends to shape your interactions. Align your signal with your intention.

What do I need to do internally to shift this frequency? Often, it’s not only about external action but inner steadiness. Breathwork, meditation, intention and presence are practices to try for shifting your state.

Going Deeper: Karma and Conscious Creation

For a comprehensive exploration of how karma operates as frequency law and how to consciously work with it, the Karma book explores the intersection of karmic law and your power to create intentionally through frequency management. You’ll learn not just the laws, but how to apply them practically to manifest different outcomes.

Karma is not something that happens to you. It’s not punishment or reward. In the Frequara model, it’s the resonance pattern of your frequency reflected back. Learn the 12 laws, and you learn to work with the patterns that shape your life.
