The Frequara Correction is a four-step practice (Recognise, Reset, Realign, Radiate) for noticing the pattern your nervous system is running and choosing a steadier one, one step at a time.

The Frequara Correction is the signature practice that anchors the entire Frequara framework. This frequency correction practice is simple to learn. It draws on research into what happens when you name a feeling, slow your breathing and repeat a new action, and it works with the body as well as the mind.

Most people are taught to change their reality through thought alone. But in The 12 Laws of the Mind, thought is only one layer of your system, and not the loudest: identity and emotion sit beneath it. It is hard to think your way to a steadier state while your body is still braced. The Frequara Correction starts with the state underneath the thought, not with the mental chatter.

The Four Steps: Recognise, Reset, Realign, Radiate

The Correction is a four-step practice: Recognise, Reset, Realign, Radiate.

Each step has a specific job, and the steps are the same in every chapter of the books. Practised in sequence, they move from noticing what is happening inside you to acting from something steadier.

Step 1: Recognise (Name the State)

What it does: Recognise is noticing the state your nervous system is currently running. Not the thought. The state. Then naming it, without analysing it, judging it or building a story about why it is happening.

The science: Naming a feeling is called affect labelling. Research from Matthew Lieberman’s lab at UCLA found that putting a feeling into words tends to reduce activity in the amygdala, the brain’s threat detector, and to engage the prefrontal cortex, the part that can choose a response. Most of the time we move through the day without noticing the state we are in: shoulders braced, breath shallow, jaw tight. Recognise brings that state into awareness.

How to practise: Pause. Check three places: jaw, shoulders, breath. Then name what you find, with a little distance. Not “I am anxious” but “There’s the anxiety pattern.” Or “I’m running the old programme.” Don’t try to change anything yet. Just see it clearly.

Naming the state creates a little space between the feeling and your response. You are no longer only inside the pattern. You can see it.

Step 2: Reset (The Body Shifts First)

What it does: Reset interrupts the nervous system response, and it is always physical, because the pattern lives in the body as much as the mind. The Frequara Starter Set describes it as one vagal activation: a hum, an extended exhale, cold water on the face. The body shifts first.

The science: Your vagus nerve is a major nerve of the parasympathetic nervous system, your “rest and digest” system. It runs from your brainstem through your chest and abdomen. On the out-breath, vagal activity slows the heart a little, which is one reason a longer exhale tends to settle you. Breathing at around six breaths a minute is linked in research with higher heart rate variability, a marker of a nervous system that can change gear easily.

Polyvagal theory is often used to explain this. It is a useful model for talking about states of safety and threat, but parts of it are still debated by researchers, so treat it as a map rather than settled fact. The practices below do not depend on it.

How to practise: Choose one of these:

The reset doesn’t need to be dramatic. You’re simply giving your body a cue that it is safe enough to settle. That settling makes the next two steps easier.

Step 3: Realign (One True Step)

What it does: Realign is choosing the pattern you want to run instead. Not the opposite of the old one. One step beyond where you are. The Frequara Starter Set puts it this way: bring the layers of your system into one frequency. Identity, emotion, thought, breath.

The science: The 12 Laws of the Mind describes four signals running at once, called the Signal Hierarchy. Identity is the loudest: who you believe you are when no one is watching. Emotion comes next: what your body is feeling. Thought is quieter than both. Words, including affirmations, are the quietest. When the layers disagree, the louder signal tends to win.

This is why your conscious mind can say “I’m worthy” while your chest stays tight and something deeper says “not really.” The layers are sending conflicting signals. So Realign reaches for something close enough that your whole system can accept it. The book draws on the “window of tolerance”, psychiatrist Dan Siegel’s term for the range in which a nervous system can take in something new without bracing against it. A believable step stays inside that window. A leap tends to push you out of it.

How to practise: After your Reset, work through these:

This is not an affirmation. It is a direction: one signal that your identity, emotion, thought and breath can all agree on.

Step 4: Radiate (Act From It)

What it does: Radiate is embodying the new pattern. Not as an affirmation, but as an action. The Frequara Starter Set says: take one embodied action that matches the signal you are choosing. A decision made from the new setting. A behaviour that reinforces the new pathway.

The science: The reasoning comes from Hebbian learning, often summed up as “neurons that fire together wire together”. Pathways that get used grow stronger. Understanding a new pattern does not build the pathway on its own. Acting from it, with your body involved, gives it repetition. Each time you act from the new setting, that route becomes a little more familiar and the old one a little less automatic.

It also shows up around you. The 12 Laws of the Mind notes that people pick up each other’s states through posture, tone of voice and breathing, often without noticing. When you act from a steadier state, the people around you may respond to it.

How to practise: Take your sentence from Realign. Choose one small action that a person living that sentence would take today. Send the email you have been circling. Pause for two breaths before you reply in a tense conversation. Walk into the meeting feeling your feet on the floor. Then notice what comes back.

The book calls this your feedback loop: the evidence is in how the moment responds, not in judging yourself. One action is enough. Radiate is not about being impressive. It is about giving the new pattern one real repetition.

The Correction as a Unified Practice

When you practise these four steps in sequence, each one prepares the next. Recognise shows you the state. Reset settles the body enough to choose. Realign gives you one true direction. Radiate turns it into something you actually do. You are working with identity, emotion, thought and breath together, rather than arguing with one thought at a time.

The Frequara Correction is where intention meets biology, where spirituality meets neuroscience, where your conscious desire meets your body’s capacity to broadcast it.

How to Use the Correction in Daily Life

Full practice: Five to ten minutes in the morning, or whenever you need to recalibrate. Move through all four steps deliberately and with presence. The Daily Mind Protocol in The 12 Laws of the Mind is a ten-minute morning version.

Quick reset: About a minute when you notice the old pattern running. Name the state. Three slow breaths, five seconds in and five out, with a hand on your chest. One true sentence. One small action that matches it.

Throughout the day: Use small corrections. Notice the state, hum through one long exhale, and ask what is actually true right now. Each one is a repetition.

What to Expect

In the moment: Many people notice a little more space between the feeling and their response, or a breath that slows. Some notice very little at first. Both are normal.

Over the first weeks: With regular practice, you may start catching the old pattern earlier, which is the skill Recognise builds. Experiences differ from person to person.

Over months: The Daily Mind Protocol suggests practising for 66 days, then deciding whether anything has changed. That figure comes from a University College London study led by Phillippa Lally, where 66 days was the median time for a new daily habit to feel automatic, with a wide range between people.

What it is not: The Frequara Correction is a self-reflection and self-regulation practice. It is not a treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma or any other health condition, and it does not promise any particular change in your life or circumstances.

Integration With Other Frequara Practices

The Frequara Correction works on its own as a standalone practice, and the same four steps run through every Quantum Frequara book. The 12 Laws of Being Human applies them to emotions and the nervous system underneath them. The 12 Laws of Creation applies them to how your inner signal shapes what you create.

The simplest way to use the Correction is as a daily anchor: a few minutes each morning, before the day starts running the old pattern for you.

Begin Today

You don’t need to understand the neuroscience to try this practice. No equipment. No belief required. Start with Recognise today, then add one step at a time: recognise, reset, realign and radiate.

Ready to deepen this practice? The 12 Laws of the Mind applies the Correction to twelve patterns the mind runs, from loops to the inner critic, and closes with the Daily Mind Protocol and the Emergency Reset for hard nights. The 12 Laws of Being Human explores how your identity beliefs shape your frequency.
