Emotions don’t vibrate at a measurable frequency, but a frequency chart can still be a useful map. Learn where your emotional state sits on the scale of consciousness, and how to shift upward.
In the Frequara model, your emotions aren’t just feelings; they can be thought of as frequencies. This is a metaphor, not physics: each emotion has its own tone, and that tone shapes how you think, act and come across to others. This is the idea behind an emotional frequency chart, and understanding it can change how you approach both emotional wellbeing and manifestation.
In 1995, psychiatrist David Hawkins published Power vs. Force, which ranks levels of consciousness on a numbered scale. He arrived at his numbers through muscle testing (applied kinesiology), a method that has not held up in controlled studies, and quantum mechanics plays no real part. The numbers are not frequencies or hertz. Many people still find the scale a helpful map, from shame and despair up to enlightenment and unity consciousness.
The Frequency Ladder: Where Your Emotions Live

The Hawkins Scale runs up to 1,000, with each emotion given its own level. In the Frequara model, this map is useful because your current emotional frequency is your broadcast signal: a metaphor for the tone you bring to your choices and relationships, not something sent into a quantum field.
The Lower Frequencies (Shame to Apathy)
At the bottom of Hawkins’ scale sit the heaviest emotions. He placed shame at 20, the level of self-rejection and unworthiness, guilt at 30 and despair at 50. These are rankings on his scale, not hertz. They are states of deep contraction, where you turn in on yourself, and it’s hard to feel worthy, hopeful or connected. Polyvagal theory, a debated model from Stephen Porges, calls this kind of state a shutdown response. If shame or despair stays with you, please reach out for support.
Hawkins placed fear at 100 and anger at 150. These are more active states, but it’s still hard to think clearly in them. Fear contracts and constricts. Anger pushes outward but without much clarity. Both are survival responses, where your body acts as though you’re under threat.
The Middle Frequencies (Courage to Acceptance)
At 200 on the scale, Hawkins placed courage, which he saw as the turning point. This is where many people start to feel steadier. You’re not running from threat; you’re resourced enough to move toward solutions. Neutrality at 250 is calm observation. Willingness at 310 is openness and participation.
By the time you reach reason (400) and love (500), the model describes a state of genuine coherence and clarity. At this level, your identity lines up with your desires, you feel more settled in your body, and you meet the world with more openness and strength.
The Higher Frequencies (Joy, Bliss, Enlightenment)
Hawkins placed joy at 540 and peace at 600. These are states where your attention moves beyond personal concern into genuine connection and trust. At the top of his scale, enlightenment at 700 and above describes, in spiritual terms, a state where individual identity merges with universal consciousness.
Few people live in these states all the time. But the point isn’t to become enlightened overnight. The point is to understand that every small step upward can change how you feel, how you act and how others respond to you.
Why This Matters for Your Reality
In the Frequara model, your emotional frequency is your transmission tower. That’s an image, not quantum physics: nothing you feel is transmitted into a quantum field. But when you’re operating from shame or fear, it’s easy to make scattered, defensive choices that feed more chaos and scarcity. When you’re operating from courage, neutrality or love, you tend to choose and connect more clearly, which invites steadier experiences.
This is one reason manifestation can feel like it isn’t working. People often try to manifest from a stressed, contracted state rather than the state they want to live in. You can repeat affirmations all day, but if your body is tense and braced, you still feel scarcity and unworthiness. In the Frequara model, the words matter less than the state you act from.
Your emotional frequency is not something you’re born with. It’s something you practise into coherence.
How to Identify Your Current Frequency
No instrument can measure an emotional frequency, but you can sense your state. Your body gives you clues in real time. Here’s how to tune in:
Somatic Sensing
Close your eyes and scan your body. Does your chest feel open and spacious, or tight and constricted? Is your breath shallow or deep? Are your shoulders relaxed or braced? Shame and fear often show up as physical contraction: your shoulders round and your body seems to fold inward. Love and peace often feel like expansion: your chest opens, your breathing deepens, your face softens.
Mental Clarity
What’s the quality of your thoughts? Are you looping through worst-case scenarios (fear, anxiety)? Are you ruminating on past failures (guilt, shame)? Or are you present, curious, and resourced? The higher states on the chart tend to come with mental clarity. The lower ones tend to come with mental chaos.
Relational Resonance
How are people and circumstances responding to you? This is useful feedback. Emotions spread through your face, voice and body language, so if you’re tense, people may feel on edge around you. If you’re warm and steady, people often relax. In the Frequara model, your outer world mirrors your broadcast frequency.
Shifting Upward: Practical Frequency Work
It’s hard to think your way to a higher frequency. It usually helps to feel your way there through your body. Here’s how:
Vagal Activation
Start with simple calming practices that can help you step out of survival mode: humming, a long slow exhale, cold water on the face, or time with someone you trust. Polyvagal theory, a model proposed by Stephen Porges and debated by other researchers, calls the feeling of safety and connection a ventral vagal state. However you name it, feeling safer tends to make it easier for other emotions to shift.
Somatic Sequence
Use movement to shake off heavier states. Dance, shake, stretch, run. Many people find that moving helps them release tension and feel less stuck. It isn’t a treatment for trauma, but once some tension has moved, it’s often easier for a lighter state to emerge.
Coherent Focus
Place your attention on what you’re grateful for, what you love, what you’re resourced by. This isn’t toxic positivity: you’re not denying hard feelings, just choosing where to rest your attention for a while. What you practise noticing tends to become easier to notice. In Frequara terms, where you place attention, you place frequency.
Identity Alignment
In the Frequara model, the frequency you sustain is shaped by your core identity beliefs. If you believe “I’m unworthy,” it’s hard to hold a loving state for long; you tend to slide back into shame. Identity work is the foundation. This is why the Frequara practice addresses belief systems alongside frequency practices.
The Signal Hierarchy
Here’s what’s easy to miss: conscious intentions alone rarely change much. In the Signal Hierarchy, your actual emotional frequency carries more weight. If your conscious intention is “I’m worthy of abundance” but your body and identity are still set to “I’m not enough,” you’re sending mixed signals. In this model the strongest signal wins, usually the unconscious one.
To shift your experience, the model says you shift the frequency you’re actually living from. That means bringing three layers into line: identity (who you believe you are), nervous system (the body state you’re used to), and emotion (the feeling-frequency you maintain).
Begin Where You Are
You don’t need to jump from shame directly to enlightenment. The practice is to move incrementally upward. From shame, move to acknowledging guilt. From guilt, move to willingness to change. From willingness, move to courage. Each step up is a small shift in how you feel and what you do next.
As you practise frequency awareness and nervous system regulation, you may notice something remarkable: your days start to feel different. You spot opportunities you used to miss. People respond to you differently. Your choices start to match the state you’re building.
This is the emotional frequency chart in real time: not a scientific measurement, but a lived, embodied practice. Your emotions are not just internal experiences. In the Frequara model, they are signals that shape how you meet the world you inhabit.
